Yang mana satu kuih vadai?

Sarapan pagi tadi di Alif Bistro Balakong.  Kompius pun ada… malu pun ada.  Teman dah seusia sebegini tak kenal lagi yang mana satu kuih vadai.

Teman memang gemar kuih vadai ni.  Selama ini setahu teman kuih vadai yang ini.

Kuih yang diperbuat dari kacang dal ni memang sedap.

Jadi masa buat pesanan roti canai, teman mintalah sekali kuih vadai tu 2 biji.  Kemudian si mamak ni hantarlah 2 biji vadai.

“Macha… ini bukan vadai lah.  Saya mahu vadai dan bukan kuih ini.”  Kuih itu pun teman tak tahu apa namanya.

Inilah kuih yang dikatakan oleh mamak tu…. kuih vadai.

“Kakak… inilah vadai.”  Balasnya masih menghulur piring kepada teman.

Kemudian teman beritahu, kuih yang teman nak itu ada di sebelah kuih ini.  Mamak tu pun pergi tukar dan bawa kepada teman kuih vadai yang teman maksudkan.

“Kakak… ini bukan vadai.  Ini masala.” Jelas mamak tu.

Alahai masalah betul.  Yang mana satu yang betul?  Masala bukan ke kuih yang macam bawah ni?

Rupanya ada perbezaannya.  Gambar yang pertama tu dipanggil Masala Vadai dan gambar ke dua tu dipanggil Medhu Vadai dan gambar ketiga itulah  Samosa dan bukannya masala. Masalah betul teman ni kan… hahaha

Chocolate cure for persistent cough.

The study also shows that dark chocolate can reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke by 20 percent. The effect is only seen in people who already have high blood pressure. Researchers at the University of Adelaide found that dark chocolate could reduce blood pressure / hypertension.

This is not the first time scientists have suggested that chocolate may be healthy for us.  But do not eat chocolate in large quantities, it will be harmful to health. Chocolate is cocoa mixed with fat, flour, and extra sugar.  Chocolate produced from cocoa beans (Theobroma cocoa) is generally used as gifts.  Chocolate is often used as an expression of thanks, sympathy or concern, even as a statement I Love you. If someone very close, chocolate gift baskets are always a sweet idea.
The scientific reason for all of this… Chocolate contains many mood-enhancing chemicals.  One of those chemicals, phenylethylamine, is actually the very same chemical that your brain releases when you fall in love.  This is why chocolate increases your heart rate and gives you a certain gush of excitement when you eat it.  So guys… A way to a woman’s heart is with chocolate.

Kek coklat

Bahan-bahan ( size loyang 18cm )

  • 1 cawan tepung gandum
  • 1/4 cwn serbuk koko van houten
  • 1 sudu kecil baking powder
  • 1 kotak susu coklat (250ml)
  • 2 biji telur (size M)
  • 1 cawan gula halus
  • 1/2 cawan butter
  • 3 sudu besar susu pekat
  • 1/4 cawan minyak masak n esen vanila
  • TOPPING
  • 3-5 sudu besar susu pekat
  • 1/4 cawan serbuk koko van houten
  • 2 sudu besar butter
  • 2 sudu besar susu segar

Cara-cara

  1. Pukul telur, gula dan butter sampai kembang. Kemudian titiskan esen vanila dan pukul lagi.
  2. Ayak tepung, serbuk koko dan baking powder.
  3. Masukkan sedikit demi sedikit ke dalam adunan telur. Kaup balikkan.
  4. Masukkan susu kotak, susu pekat, minyak dan gaul sebati.
  5. Masukkan dalam loyang yang telah dilengser minyak/marjerin. Tutup dengan aluminium foil.  Kemudian kukus selama 45min.  Bila sudah masak sejukkan.
  6. Untuk topping…campurkan semua bahan dan masak secara double boiler. Kemudian curahkan ke atas kek yang sudah sejuk tadi.  Hias dan simpan di dalam peti sejuk beberapa jam sebelum dipotong.
  7. Selamat mencuba.
